Server logs

For every request, the web server (reverse proxy) logs the following access data:

  • IP address of the requesting device,
  • date and time of the request,
  • requested address and request method,
  • HTTP status code and amount of data transferred,
  • previously visited page (referrer), if sent by the browser,
  • browser identification (user agent).

The purpose is to deliver the pages, analyse faults and detect and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are not combined with other data, not used for profiling and are deleted automatically after 7 days. If a specific security incident requires individual entries to be kept as evidence, they are kept until the incident is resolved.

To fend off attacks, an abuse detection tool (CrowdSec) analyses the logs on our server and temporarily blocks IP addresses that show attack patterns. This analysis takes place exclusively locally; IP addresses are not transmitted to third parties.

Hosting

The server is operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Editors

Only editors log in. The login service auth.ti20.io sets session cookies required for that login.
